Well, I feel caught up with looking at everyone's blogs. I get so excited to post cute things after reading the first few blogs, then by the time I'm finished looking at the 2oth blog, I'm tired! The excitement just doesn't last. Well, maybe it's the cookie dough I just pigged out on that's slowing me down. I know, it's not on the diet, but Sunday evening rolls around and I just remember the days when I was growing up and Sunday night would roll around and we'd make popcorn and cookies. Since Clint is such a big fan of cookie dough, we only bake 1/4 of the recipe, if that, when we make the dough. So, no cute blog post today (once again). I feel old when I realize I've posted about our diet, our health and the not so much change right now in our life. I'm not 80, but I must be fast approaching if based on that information!
I do feel like life has gotten a bit busier. I'm working on my Home Management Binder and I am really excited about the daily schedule part. I keep revising it before I print it, as each day brings a new change that I forgot to schedule. Once you break your day down into time slots, with things to do-bam! I can't seem to keep up. It's been good to help get me moving when I don't feel like it. I'm not on schedule yet, but I hope to be soon. If I don't have to remember what I'm suppose to be doing, then I can think about other things that I keep forgetting. I hope anyway. Soon I'll be onto the Budgeting part of the Binder and the Menu part and it gets me all excited about budgeting and making dinners. Wow, something I've needed for a long time. Well, listening to Dave Ramsey's radio program, especially on Fridays is great too. I love it when people call in to say "We're debt FREEEEEEEE". Someday we'll be able to do that. For now, though, we're debt full, and thankful we have help to pay the debts.

Diet
I really don't like the word diet. I've never been on a 'DIET', and would never like to be on one, but what do you call changing your eating habits? DIET, right? So, on to a 'new' diet for me. Clint is approved to eat anything he wants and I on the other hand, have a list of things among them is - No sugar and No simple carbohydrates-what's left? It is an easier diet than the Candida one we did in June, but when No Wheat is on the list, you really are still limited and not in the norm of 'the rest of America's habits'.
So in looking on-line for "Rice, rye or millet bread", I came across a really good website and thought I'd share. It's http://glutenfreemommy.com/ Scroll down and see the desert recipes she's posted on the main page. I've learned that so many people are allerigic to wheat and yeast, etc. I don't think that I am, but until my body starts to act the way it should (anabolic not catabolic) I'm on to searching for things to eat in a whole new way. Yea for Whole Foods Market! who sells other flours besides wheat and a large selection of Organic fruits and veggies.
Another website I found was mentioned on the previous website, http://gingerlemongirl.blogspot.com/ . One big problem is eliminating sugar from my diet. MOST things you put in your mouth, if not everything, has sugar in it. Most recipes call for sugar of some sort. But I will say that finding these two websites made me happy. I like to find new things to cook and eat. I hope you like 'em too.

Kid Free
Well, Ivan left on Saturday and we really enjoyed having him in our home for a week. We learned a few things;
1. It's not easy making rules as you go
2. Having an overall good kid helps
3. Our home is kid proof, but not really kid friendly
4. To signal between each other if we don't agree with what one of us is saying.
5. It's nice to have someone else around to laugh with and help with the chores
Wish I had pictures, but I don't. Just image us at the pool everyday and playing Cashflow or Uno (over and over and over again).
Come back and visit anytime Ivan!

Trial Parenthood
This week we're watching my nephew Ivan. The family came over on Saturday to celebrate my dad's 65th birthday. We did a bar-b-que at the pool with family. Then the family left and Ivan stayed. We've had a great time so far with friends over, the pool, and watching The Hulk -the old TV series one, but really it was a movie with the TV series actors. We'll see how the rest of the week goes, but it's good so far. One little problem is that Clint seems to forget we have a child around as he's continued to schedule things (like interivew things) without remembering that he is watching a child while I'm at work or that we have a child that wouldn't be able to go with us. Very interesting, I think. Get ready for the real thing honey! I'm enjoying Ivan and all the fun we're having.

Thank You
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone for all you do. Directly and indirectly.
Example:
Thank you Silvia for saving my blog from sheer bordom by having a new background that I could simply go to the website and dress up my blog to fit my personality.
Thank you Melanie for being diligent in your blog postings; it inspires me to keep blogging.
Thank you Tea for posting comments regularly on my blog; it shows me that you care. ( I know you all care, but when I'm a bit down it helps to have feedback that someone is interested in my life.) (I won't mention how bad I am at leaving comments!)
There are many more, but I don't want to have this post be as long as my others are, it's a bit much to take in at one time sometimes-even for me. :)
Have a very Happy Thankful Day.
