Up to the present...
Clint finished his last travel as a consultant 1 week ago with Nissan. He got hired on and started last week at the corp headquarters in Irving. He loves where he works and enjoys the people too. One minor problem is that we only have one car, so I get to work early and stay a while afterwards waiting for him, while he gets to spend a lot of time traveling in a car. He's used to it, but not on a daily basis. This will all be remedied in a few weeks when our driving record comes in and we lease a car through Nissan.
Oh, and my evenings and weekends are spend going through genealogy things from my grandmother's house. And helping my parents on Saturday go through their things they own and do a little clearing out. Progress has been made. I haven't taken any before pictures yet, but maybe soon. It is a daunting task - like climbing Everest only it's more like bringing it down instead of climbing to the top.

July Events
We went on vacation in July to Colorado. We got to spend the first night with friends of ours we met in Houston, who now live in Colorado. It was wonderful to visit after our 15hour drive. Clint had received a phone call on our drive to apply for a job opening at Nissan. So the visit with our friends Rachel and Stephano was a bit hard for Clint with the distraction of reapplying on-line for a job. I was able to relax and visit and see her cute girls and lovely home. I wish I'd taken pictures!
We went on to spend time with family camping just south of Rocky Mountain National Park. It was great weather and fun spending time with family we don't see often enough. The park was georgeous too. I'll have to post pictures later. They're on the laptop and screen has gotten broken (I won't mention names - but it wasn't me). Besides only a few pictures turned out. I'm not a big picture taker and vacation is not the time to play around with the camera settings when you don't know how they'll turn out....so a lot of our pictures are fuzzy. :(

June Events
June was a big month. I watched our previous foster kids for 5 days at the beginning of the month by myself. It was fun and strange at the same time.
Then on the 17th of the month my grandmother passed away. I was in the middle of a training class with work when my dad called to give me the news. As many family members could came for her funeral that next week. I was going to go that weekend to spend the night with her which was something I did as often as I could. It was nice to have a mini family reunion with my cousins, aunts & uncles. It was all rather rushed it felt like to me because I kept busy doing things up to the day of the funeral. I had said a kind of goodbye a few weeks earlier by myself when my free moments were beginning to be filled with other things instead of - I can go and see grandma. I keep pushing off my grieving and I didn't give myself time to grieve when she first passed and now I feel the time has left for that. Take the moment when it comes. But now I remember her in the little things I do.
I wash out my ziplock bags-like grandma did.
I sit in her rocking chair I now have-like grandma did.
I seek to listen when people speak-like grandma did.
I have toys at my house for kids-like grandma did.
I wear nice costume jewlery to church-like grandma did.
I seek not to say unkind things about people-like grandma did.(not say unkind things)
I seek to have people feel welcome in my home-like grandma did.
I save my plastic sacks to recycle-like grandma did.
I seek to grow older gracefully-like grandma did.
I watch the birds out my window and have a bird feeder-like grandma did.
My grandma had a special place in my heart that no one else had. I do miss her greatly.

May Events
Back in May...oh so long ago now, my brother David & his family came to visit. They stayed with us for a few days and we thoroughly enjoyed having them here. Here are a few pictures. But before I start them I have to post the all searching eye. I planted in my front flower bed a whole bunch of wildflowers (weeds really with flowers attached) and poppy's were one of them. Below is a picture of one I had looking at me when I looked out my front window.
when the wind blew it blinked at me - not kiddin'.
Here's Clint with David's girls.
Clint showed David & Gigi how to make a kilt out of fabric and Gigi went all on her own and made one out of her blanket.
David and Gigi made their own kilts.
Gigi rode with us to the pool and she sang a song for us. Here she is in all her glory. I love it.
I have many more pictures, but not enough time..Bethany was there too, just all the shots I got of her were profile or in movement with kids around. But she looked great in person as all who know her know.
